I am lucky to be able to eat all foods, however I have to be careful as a few years ago I had some allergy tests done and was told I was not allergic to one thing but sensitive to most. Work that one out hey! To keep my Eczema under control I am very disciplined in my daily routine.
So I start my day with a cup of tea and use semi skimmed milk, then I take my dogs for a walk on a empty stomach (fasted) I come back and have my overnight oats, this is oats, greek yoghurt, scoop of protein powder, mixed with water with some blackberries. I work out daily but have stopped the mad HIIT workouts or running as that made my skin worse. I now go for low heart rate routines, that could be the cross trainer where I keep my heart rate under 120 or a weighted workout to keep my bones and muscles strong. After this I eat an egg and have a high protein yoghurt.
Lunch is normally tuna salad or tuna jacket potato then I head into dinner with meat, lots of vegetables and always weigh out my carbs.
Snacks are rice cakes, apple with peanut butter or a piece of sough dough toasted.
Water is a must for me as my skin is always dry, I drink about 2.5 litres a day.
Alcohol is not my friend if I want my Eczema under control so I avoid that now and if I fancy something fizzy I have a kombucha instead or diet coke.
I am for 120 to 130 grams of protein daily, I am sure since I have adopted this routine and sleeping in 100% linen my skin stays under control.
Linen is a natural fibre so it is breathable and cool, it allows air to flow and absorbs moisture. It is also hypoallergenic so much likely to cause skin irritation so great for us Eczema sufferers!
I still get the odd flare up and I do have my steroid cream for that, I use it very carefully and it does help from time to time but since I have been sleeping in Linen Love's 100% bedding I use it much less now.
Love Jo x
